TENCEL ™
Progress for sustainability and soft touch
The Progress yarn family is very soft to the skin and sustainable. The material mix of fine merino with 1.4 dtex Tencel ™ provides an optimal climate balance and protects the earth‘s resources, since both wood and wool are renewable raw materials and 100% recyclable. Progress achieves its good machine washability through the EXP process, which has been certified several times.
Tencel ™ Lyocell fibers are derived from the renewable raw material wood - from natural forests and sustainably managed plantations. The fiber process recycles the water and returns the solvent used to more than 99% in the production cycle. Consumers thus have the certainty that their choice of clothing protects the environment. Microparticles, which may eventually detach during washing and enter the global water cycle, biodegrade completely.
Climayarn
Smart regulation
One of the most commercially successful and versatile Schoeller developments, and with good reason. Climayarn uses a number of highly effective mechanisms to regulate fluctuations in body temperature: wool’s thermoregulatory effects conserve heat in cold weather, while Polycolon rapidly wicks excess moisture away from the body and largely prevents heat accumulation at high temperatures. Climayarn also offers greater elasticity, good abraison resistance, depending on knit type, leading to improved comfort. Climayarn is available cone dyed and top dyed. Climayarn is EXP treated (chlorine free).
Organic merinos
GOTS certified
All products of the „Organic Merino“ programme are certified according to the strict criteria of the GOTS Standard and the well-known bluesign Standard as well as Oekotex Standard 100. More sustainability certification of a yarn at once is almost impossible.
Total easy care
When machine washability is a must
Many Schoeller products can be washed in a washing machine without any problems. A range of wool finishes and fibre blends are available for this purpose. Regardless of whether the classic Superwash finish or the innovative chlorine-free EXP finish is required: With appropriate processing, it is even possible to use a tumble dryer. Standards such as TM31 or Totals Easy Care (TEC) are covered if required.
Undyed - colored by nature
No auxiliariesNo dyestuff - no auxiliaries
The products use the natural color of animal fibers. The different colored fibers are sorted by color in a complex process. In a second step, they are mixed into new melange colors. The colors available in this way are therefore limited to naturally occurring color shades. Water or chemicals are not used for dyeing, hence the name "Zero/100".
GOTS certification possible by request (if colored wool is available)
